Bergamot Essential oil
Plant Origin: Italy, Morrocco
It is believed that Christopher Columbus brought Bergamot to Bergamo in Northern Italy from Canary Islands. A mainstay in traditional Italian medicine, Bergamot has been used in the Middle East for hundreds of years for skin conditions.
Bergamot has a fresh, sweet, citrusy scent that is familiar to many as the flavouring in Earl Grey Tea. Uplifting and relaxing, it is good for building confidence and enhancing your mood. It has a long history of use in skin care products for oily and troubled skin. AND was used in the first genuine eau de cologne.
Bergamot stimulates the pancreas and the liver in some people, has shown anti-microbial effects in some studies, especially on the bronchies, and may offer support in cases of slow digestion and hypertension.
