Ionic Foot Detox Spa

Put your feet in it and stay Healthy
Energy imbalance and toxic build-up in our bodies can be strikingly similar!
We all live in a toxic environment. No matter where we live or how careful we are, we cannot avoid environmental toxins. They are in the air we breathe, the food we eat and the water we drink all over the planet. What is particularly worrying is the high levels of pesticides in our homes, considerably higher to levels we are exposed to outdoors.
An Ionic Detox Foot Spa session may assist your body to become more balanced via the the body’s natural energy fields and promote an equilibrium that will then enable your body to function at an optimum level.
An Ionic Detox Foot Spa session will aid in:
• Kick starting your body’s natural ability to disperse toxins
• In bringing your body back to a state of harmony and balance
• Renew your Energy Levels so that you experience a greater feeling of well-being
• Re-balance and harmonise your body
During a treatment, the feet are placed into a foot basin filled with warm water and Himalayan Crystal Salt.
An ‘array’ connected to a power unit is also placed into the water to emit a low-voltage resonant electrical current (consisting of an alternating positive and negative charge). This current electronically charges the water, resulting in the saline water becoming separated into both positive and negative ions, to create a process known as ‘ionisation’.
Research shows that ‘ionisation’ is extremely benefical to the human body. An excessive amount of positive ions in the body which is all too common these days, can lead to illness, inflammation and dis-ease.
The re-introduction of balanced cellular energy allows the body to increase its oxygen supply to all the organs of the body and kick-start any processes that the body may not be performing effectively. Ionisation therefore improves health, enhances well-being and restores natural harmony.
Aromatic Milk Baths ~ Indulge Yourself & Treat Your Skin to a Centuries-Old Luxury
Posted on January 20, 2013
Aromatic ‘Milk’ baths, a simple luxury, have GENUINE health benefits. Cleopatra ‘Queen Of The Nile’, a famous beauty renown for her charm and beauty secrets maintained her soft skin by taking a camel or goat milk bath every day. Other royal figures, like Elizabeth I of England & Empress Elisabeth of Austria (1837-1898) have acclaimed the beautifying benefits of these baths.
Milk contains Vitamins A and D, which helps make your skin soft, yet strong. It contains lactic acid with alpha hydroxy acids that dissolve the glue-like proteins that keep dead cells attached to the skin. The lactic acid found in milks, buttermilk, and yoghurt act as a gentle soothing moisturising exfoliant.
Exfoliation is the process of removing the top layer of dead skin cells to reveal softer tissue underneath. If the dead cells are not removed, they tend to clog your pores, which can lead to blackheads and blotchy looking skin. Since the average person creates a new layer of skin every two to four weeks, you can improve your complexion immensely by simply exfoliating on a regular basis.
Milk is also beneficial for your hair. Small scales on your hair follicles can cause hair to look dull. Using milk on your hair seals the scales, making it shinier and healthier ~ just as using milk on your skin makes it silkier and more radiant.
I blend my own Avalon Essences Aromatic Milk Bath blends with Full Cream Milk Powder, Dead Sea Salts and Essential oils of either Lavender or Rose. When I bath in either my Lavender or Rose Bath Milk I soak for about 20 minutes and polish my skin by gently massaging the surface with a washcloth or loofah in soft, circular motions, PLUS I also soak my hair in the milk blend and gently massage into my scalp. Be extra gentle with delicate areas like your neck, inner arms, and thighs to avoid abrasion burns.
After your beauty bath, you may notice your skin is slightly oily. That is normal. It’s simply the natural moisturising effect of the milk. Exfoliating your skin too often can dry it out and the natural oils in milk will help keep your skin moisturised, making your milk bath the perfect beauty treatment for creating supple baby-soft skin.
To add an extra luxury to your Bath Milk soak add 4 tablespoons of honey under the running tap – DELISH ~ Lock the bathroom, light some candles. Relax!
Oats is another optional extra that can be included, pour oats into a muslin bag and hang from the tap – oats are extremely sooking to the skin
and here’s a tropicana recipe shared with my by a fellow aromatic friend

Young Living Essential oils
Posted on January 13, 2013
My Journey with Essential oils started many moons ago. I ventured and tried many different brands, blends and oils but was always drawn back to Young Living Essential oils. I truly believe they are the best in the World.
I joined Young Living as a ‘Member’ so I could purchase my Essential oils at wholesale prices which I still do each and every month and love and use them all pretty much daily. I am also a Young Living Distributor so you can order Young Living Essential oils through me as a Retail Customer but I recommend you also join as a “Member” you can also purchase your Young Living Essential oils, skincare, supplements and so much more at ‘wholesale’ prices. There is no pressure to turn your YL Membership into a YL Business but by all means there are many opportunities to do so.
Below is some information about Essential Oils, Aromatherapy and hints and tips

Essential Oils
Essential oils, known as nature’s living energy, are the natural, aromatic volatile liquids found in shrubs, flowers, trees, roots, bushes, and seeds. The distinctive components in essential oils defend plants against insects, environmental conditions, and disease. They are also vital for a plant to grow, live, evolve, and adapt to its surroundings. Essential oils are extracted from aromatic plant sources via steam distillation, and are highly concentrated and far more potent than dry herbs.
While essential oils often have a pleasant aroma, their chemical makeup is complex and their benefits vast—which makes them much more than something that simply smells good.
Historically, essential oils have played a prominent role in everyday life. With more than 200 references to aromatics, incense, and ointments throughout the Bible, essential oils are said to be used for anointing and healing the sick. Today, essential oils are used for aromatherapy, massage therapy, emotional wellness, personal care, nutritional supplements, household solutions, and much more.
Young Living Essential Oils, the leading provider of essential oils, offers more than 300 essential oil singles and blends. All Young Living essential oils meet the Young Living Therapeutic Grade™ standard. This means that every essential oil Young Living distils or sources has the optimal naturally-occurring blend of constituents to maximise the desired effect. Only Young Living Therapeutic Grade essential oils should be used for the primary methods of application, which include inhalation and application.
Aromatherapy and Essential Oils
Aromatherapy is the inhalation of plant oils, called essential oils, for improved physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Essential oils are the pure essence of the plant—often referred to as nature’s living energy—and can provide both psychological and physical benefits when used correctly. Essential oils can be used on their own for aromatherapy or with complementary natural ingredients, such as vegetable or carrier oils.
Aromatherapy for Improved Health and Wellness
Aromatherapy is one of many ways you can enjoy the benefits of essential oils. When practicing aromatherapy it’s vital that only pure, undiluted essential oils are used. Synthetic, perfume-grade products lack the necessary level of beneficial constituents and offer little or no positive effect.
Only by diffusing pure Young Living Therapeutic Grade™ essential oils can you create a proper mood, state of mind, or improve your physical well-being.
The Science of Aromatherapy
When a Young Living Therapeutic Grade essential oil is diffused, it’s inhaled and processed through the olfactory system, which then sends the benefits of the aroma to the brain. Depending on the specific constituents in the oil, you may begin to feel the release of negative emotions, the soothing of undue muscle tension.
There are two ways to use essential oils for aromatherapy: inhalation and topical application.
Inhalation
When inhaling oils for aromatherapy, here are some commonly used techniques:
- Inhale essential oils directly—simply smell them straight from the bottle.
- Diffuse essential oils using a device that disperses the oil into the air in a micro-fine vapour. Young Living offers a line of essential oil diffusers that effectively spreads the aromatic benefits of essential oils through the air without damaging their important constituents.
- Use essential oils with a humidifier. Sprinkle a few drops of essential oil on a tissue or small cloth and place in front of the escaping steam. Avoid putting the oil directly into your humidifier, as it will float on top of the water instead of dispersing with the water vapour.
- Pour hot water into a bowl and add a few drops of essential oil. Lower your face a few inches over the bowl and cover your head and the bowl with a towel, then breathe deeply and slowly.
Topical Application
Essential oils can be applied directly to the skin. Be sure to read the label before using oils topically, as some oils must be first diluted with a carrier oil—like Young Living’s V-6 Enhanced Vegetable Oil Complex—prior to use.
Key areas for topical application are:
- Crown of head
- Temples
- Behind ears
- Neck
- Upper back
- Abdomen
- Over vital organs
- Soles and tops of feet
- Ankles
Steps for topical application are:
- Place 2–3 drops of oil in the palm of your hand or directly on the desired area.
- If placing oil in your hand, rub palms together in a circular motion and then massage oil onto the desired point of application. If applying directly to the desired area, massage the oil into your skin using a circular motion. Repeat as desired.
Note: Essential oils are very potent and some may be irritating to the skin. If irritation occurs, immediately apply a carrier oil or pure vegetable oil to the area to dilute. Please read label direction for each individual oil before using.

Aromatherapy has many stories
Posted on December 28, 2012
Aromatherapy involves the use of natural plant essences to promote health, wellbeing and vitality. These natural plant essences commonly known as essential oils are highly concentrated and are extracted from plants and trees known to exhibit therapeutic properties.
Each of these plants contains a small percentage of essential oil which varies from plant to plant. How much of a percentage together with the method of extraction and availability, usually determines its price. For example it takes more than three times the weight of rose petals to lavender flowers to extract the same volume of essential oil and this is primarily why rose oil commands such a premium price over lavender.
Essential oils have been utilized by man for their therapeutic benefits for thousands of years. Records going as far back as Ancient Egypt show the High Priests and Royal Family members used essential oils in skin care cosmetics, perfumes, medicines and massage oils. It has been said Christ Himself was anointed with Spikenard signifying the link between Body, Mind and Spirit and the use of essential oils in healing.
The physical side of Aromatherapy as energy medicine is the breaking down of these so called components of essential oils (their chemistry, biophysics etc) into antiseptic, antibacterial, antiviral to name just a few physical actions. On the other hand Spiritual or subtle energy is present in all organic life. It flows through us all and is also known among other names as qi or chi (Chinese) or as prana (Sanskrit) the lifeforce that emanates from all living things. So too the uniquely delicate energy captured within the essential oils such as rose or neroli reminds us of gentle love and the beauty that abounds not only in nature but also within ourselves. This subtle energy vibrates at the souls level wrapping us in the wings of an angel.
So when we use essential oils in everyday life, either through inhalation for a cold or in a carrier oil for a relaxing massage or simply diffusing the oils a distinctly different energy is created within our being. Each essential oil is a holistic creation that has the intelligence capable of influencing us on a physical, emotional or spiritual level. When using essential oils harmonically our life force has the subtle potential to transform dynamically.
The following oils will naturally harmonize and enhance each other. Neroli (orange blossom) with it’s delicate and sophisticated scent calms the nerves and uplifts the Spirit. It is a sensual oil that is both soothing for negative emotions and harmoniously grounding. Orange (fruit) is a sweet, warm and joyful oil. It conveys an easy-going approach for the obsessive perfectionist types. Lastly, Petitgrain (stem) is bitter and herbaceous instilling comfort and settling emotions.
